Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Element

This comment section (blog) should address the draft General Plan's Parks, Recreation and Public Facilities Element. The Element guides park, open space and facility planning in the city, which are critical to maintaining and enhancing Encinitas' quality of life.

Entertainment for families and teenagers

Post #37 by Olivier Canler on November 2, 2011 7:57PM

Encinitas needs to have a movie theater for all. Our teenagers are bored and have no place to socialize in a safe environment. How about bowling alley, non-alcoholic disco, city skateboard parks, and laser tags?

The city should lure these type of businesses, instead of letting low value mass merchants (Big lots, Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, etc...) invade our community.
